Dear Student,
You have been specially selected for Mission Movie Star, an important project brought to you by the nationally acclaimed organization, ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development). Should you choose to accept this mission, you will be required to:
· Attend school on Tuesday, January 25th from 8:00am-12:00pm
· Be in uniform and well-rested
· Bring all materials you have on the Fall of the Roman Empire
· Eat a delicious lunch, all expenses paid by MHSHS
· Receive free movie tickets for your participation
· AND…
· GET READY TO BE ON CAMERA, BECAUSE WE’RE MAKIN’ A MOVIE ABOUT TEACHING AND LEARNING!
ASCD is an organization that helps teachers to become better teachers. Several staff members at MHSHS have been selected to appear in a film that will demonstrate strategies created by ASCD. During this filming Ms. Hanemann will conduct a lesson on the Fall of Rome. Since the lesson is being filmed you can expect that the crew will stop and re-start the lesson in order to get the best shot.
All of my students have been invited to participate in this filming. We will select 15-20 students for filming first based on availability. If you have a Regents, Mock Regents, or mid-term exam on the morning of January 25th and still want to participate, please make sure to indicate that on your return slip.
This invitation does NOT guarantee selection for filming. Only your return slip can help us determine which students will participate. Those students who are selected for filming will be given further information.
